Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 oranges

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel and segment the oranges, and set aside. Take 3 tablespoons of the 300 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice. Caramelize the sugar in a small saucepan over low heat. When the caramel is golden yellow, deglaze with the orange juice. Simmer over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Mix the cornstarch with the 3 tablespoons of orange juice and use this to thicken the sauce. Add the orange segments to the sauce and heat briefly. Delicious with panna cotta, flammeris, pudding, etc.
