Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 70 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange peel, grated
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 350 g flour
  • 60 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Perfect for Christmas baking, makes about 70 cookies

Cream the butter in a bowl until fluffy, then stir in the powdered sugar. Stir 1 tablespoon of grated orange zest, the orange juice, and as much flour as possible into the butter mixture. Knead in the remaining flour. Form the dough into small balls about 2 cm in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 170°C for 15-18 minutes. Then let them cool briefly. Blend the sugar with the remaining orange zest in an electric food processor. Roll the orange snowballs in the mixture while still warm and then let them cool.
