Orange Syrup

The perfect orange syrup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 350 g Sugar
  • 100 ml Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 80 ml Water
  • 3 Pc. Orange peel strips
  • 1 Pc. Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Pc. Star anise
  1. Thoroughly wash oranges, dry them and peel off 4 strips with a peeler. Divide the 4th strip again into strips and fill in clean bottles / bottles as a decoration.
  2. Put all other ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to the boil while stirring and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the spices, divide the cinnamon stick into 2-3 pieces, put in the bottle with the orange zest and fill up with the syrup, close, possibly decorate with a gift ribbon and piece of cinnamon stick as a souvenir / gift.
