Oriental orange salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 oranges
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • some Grand Marnier if needed
  • 4 figs, dried
  • 10 pitted dates
  • a little ginger powder
  • 50 g almond(s) (almond slivers)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Oriental touch – delicious and vegan at the same time

Peel the oranges and slice them thinly. Layer them with the sugar in a bowl and let them sit for a while. Pour over the lemon juice – mixed with Grand Marnier if desired. Finely slice the figs and pitted dates and mix them in thoroughly. Sprinkle with a touch of ginger. Lightly toast the almond slivers in a non-stick pan without any fat or oil. Sprinkle over the salad and serve.
