Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 ostrich steaks
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- 3 tbsp cream
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp onion(s), chopped
- 1 pinch of chili powder or fresh chili paste
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp curry powder
- Paprika powder, sweet
- Soy sauce
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and marinate the steaks for at least 2-4 hours. The marinated steaks can be grilled or pan-fried as desired. Cook for two to five minutes, depending on the thickness of the steaks. Ostrich meat tastes best with a slightly pink center (medium). Serve with a colorful, crispy salad and garlic bread.
