Traditional turkey skewers

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg turkey breast
  • 250 g bacon, streaky
  • 2 onions
  • 2 bell peppers, depending on size
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • some fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

for pan or grill

Cut the turkey breast into approximately 3 cm cubes. Mix the honey, oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika into a marinade and toss the turkey pieces well. Cut the bacon into slices approximately 1 cm thick, the size of which fits the turkey breast cubes. Peel and quarter the onions. Deseed the peppers and cut into suitable pieces. Now alternate the meat, onions, bacon, and peppers on approximately 10 skewers. Either fry in fat in a pan or grill. Sprinkle with a little paprika before serving. Serve with rice and tomato sauce.
