Oven soup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 kg pork
  • salt, pepper
  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 1 jar mushrooms, small
  • 1 can/n peas
  • 1 jar tomato peppers
  • 1 can pineapple pieces
  • 250 ml curry ketchup
  • 250 ml chili sauce
  • 200 ml cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Cut the meat into even cubes and season with salt and pepper. Place in a large, ungreased, ovenproof pot. Peel and wedge the onions, and add to the meat. Drain the mushrooms in a colander and add to the meat. Add the peas and tomato peppers with all their juices, and the pineapple chunks with a little of their juice (otherwise it will be too sweet), along with the curry ketchup and chili sauce. Do not stir the soup. Cover the pot and cook the stew in the oven for about 2 hours. Then stir in the warmed cream. The soup tastes particularly good if it sits overnight.
