Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • some butter for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Basic recipe for super delicious sweet pancakes

Mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar (you may need to soften it in the microwave). Add the egg yolks and beat until fluffy, then add the milk and stir in. Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and stir until smooth. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and then fold in. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Now, in batches, fry pancakes from the batter in a little butter on both sides until golden brown. Applesauce goes well with the pancakes, for example. Tip: You can also bake the pancakes on baking paper in a hot oven; they will then rise even more.
