Pappardelle with ham Australian style

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g pasta (pappardelle)
  • salt water
  • 120 g Black Forest ham
  • 80 g cooked ham
  • 60 g butter
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • some salt and pepper, white
  • 80 g Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

For the sauce, dice both types of ham. Melt the butter in a saucepan and briefly fry the ham cubes. Add the cream and reduce the heat. Simmer the sauce until creamy and season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and simmer for a few more minutes over low heat. Meanwhile, cook the pappardelle in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente, according to the package instructions.
