Paprika and onion meat

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 400 g pork
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 200 ml beer
  • 100 ml broth
  • Chili powder, hot,
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • Salt
  • Sauce thickener, dark
  • 2 slices of bread (country bread)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Peel the onion, halve the bell pepper, trim, and wash it. Cut the meat into approximately 2 x 2-centimeter cubes, just like the pork. Heat the oil in a small roasting pan, add the meat, and brown. Add the onion and bell pepper and sauté. Add the tomato paste and brown. Then pour in the beer and broth, bring to a boil, and simmer covered for about 50-60 minutes. Season the bell pepper and onion mixture with salt, chili powder, and paprika powder, and thicken with a sauce thickener. Arrange the meat on plates and serve with fresh country bread.
