Paprika chicken

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 3 tbsp ajvar
  • Oil, for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • n. B. Cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven). Wash the chicken fillets, pat dry, and remove any fat. Heat the oil in a pan, sear the chicken breast fillets on both sides, and season. Be careful not to overheat the pan, as this will make the paprika bitter. Transfer the chicken from the pan directly to a baking dish. Dice the bell peppers and sprinkle over the chicken fillets. Mix the cream with the ajvar and pour over the fillets. Add a little salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. If you like, you can sprinkle some grated cheese on top after about 15 minutes. Anything goes with this; I prefer rice and a green salad.
