Pasta casserole with minced meat and peppers

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (spirelli)
  • 500 g minced meat, half and half
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 jars of tomato peppers, pickled, cut into strips
  • 1 cup of cream or crème fraîche
  • 1 bag of cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • chili powder if needed
  • possibly garlic if needed

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Brown the minced meat and onions in a pan until crispy. Season with pepper, paprika (or chili powder and garlic if desired), and salt. Drain the pepper strips and add them to the fried minced meat along with the cream. Mix thoroughly and place in a baking dish along with the pasta. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C to 225°C until the cheese is golden brown.
