Pasta with cream and lemon sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of diced bacon (250 g)
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 garlic clove(s), crushed
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • basil, shredded
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Oil for frying
  • possibly Parmesan
  • 300 g pasta

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and keep warm. Meanwhile, fry the bacon cubes in a large pan until crispy, then add the onion and garlic and brown. Mix the sweet and sour cream together in a tall container and add to the pan. Simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir the 2 egg yolks into the sauce (which should no longer be boiling!) to thicken. Season the finished sauce with salt, pepper, and basil. Just before serving, stir the lemon juice into the sauce. This gives the dish a special touch. Pour the sauce over the warm pasta and serve immediately. Serve with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
