Ingredients
- 500 g Penne
- 500 g Red lentils
- 2 Onions
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 100 ml Olive oil
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2 Chili peppers finely chopped
- 100 g Tomato paste
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 L Water
Instructions
- Peel and dice the onions and fry them in olive oil with the crushed garlic cloves.
- Stir in tomato paste, chillies, salt, pepper, bay leaves, lentils and water, bring to the boil and simmer for approx. 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Boil the pasta in salted water until aldente, drain in a sieve, arrange on pasta plates, cover with the lentils and serve.
- If you like, you can also rub Parmesan cheese over the lentil sauce.
