With a delicious tomato sauce with lots of vegetables

Heat the olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the very finely chopped carrot and celery, season with salt and pepper, and fry for another 5-6 minutes. Deglaze with the tomatoes, add the bay leaves, and seasonings, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, until the vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Remove the bay leaves from the sauce and puree it with a hand blender. Add the cream, ham, and peas, and bring the sauce to a boil briefly. Season with salt and pepper, add the pasta, and mix. Tastes great with Parmesan cheese.
