Pea Soup with Diced Bacon.

The perfect pea soup with diced bacon. recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

to dice :

  • 150 g Streaky bacon
  • 2 Pc. Diced waxy potatoes
  • 1 Pc. Diced onion
  • 100 g Leek halved lengthways and cut
  • 100 g Diced carrots
  • 40 g Parsley root
  • 1 liter Water
  • 250 g Frozen peas
  • 1 Pc. Bay leaf
  • 2 turns Chilli from the mill
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 pinch Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse salt
  • 3 Pc. Wiener sausages
  1. Cut the bacon into cubes, fry, add the onion cubes and let it take some color.
  2. Briefly cook the carrots, leek + parsley root. Add the potatoes. Pour water on. Now bring to the boil, reduce the temperature and cook gently for another 10 minutes. Spice up.
  3. Insert the sausages, turn up until it boils, then let it steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the peas and cook for another 5 minutes.

Skimming:

  1. Put some of the peas to one side. Put the sausages on a plate.

Mix on:

  1. Remove the bay leaf, mix up the soup.

Put the peas in the plates.

  1. Arrange the peas that were set aside in the plates. Pour in soup.
  2. Present sausages separately. If you like, you can cut them into the soup.
