Peach-banana-vanilla jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • n. B. peach(s)
  • 3 bananas
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 pack of vanilla flavor, nB also 2 packs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Use the ripest fruit possible. Wash, pit, and eighth the peaches. Peel the bananas and add them to the peach pieces. Then puree them fairly finely with a hand blender; small pieces may remain depending on your taste. Now weigh the peach and banana mixture as accurately as possible to 1000g and then mix it with 500g of preserving sugar. Add the vanilla flavoring, 1 sachet (with a hint of vanilla) or 2 sachets (with a strong vanilla flavor), to taste. Pour the mixture into a sufficiently large saucepan, as it will peak and rise. Boil briskly for 3 minutes at full heat while stirring. Follow the instructions on the preserving sugar packet. Then fill hot, rinsed jam jars to the brim, screw on the lids tightly, and turn upside down for 5 minutes. After a few hours, the jam will be set and ready to eat. Tip: You can also use nectarines instead of the peaches.
