Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 5 half peaches, from the can, or fresh
- 1 large egg white
- 60 g sugar
- some almonds, sliced
- some powdered sugar
- Fat, for the shape
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Peaches with meringue topping
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Place the peach halves (wash, halve, and pit fresh peaches first) cut-side up in a greased baking dish. Beat the egg whites with a mixer until stiff peaks form, then stir in the sugar a tablespoon at a time. Then place this beaten egg white on top of each peach half and top with the sliced almonds and a little powdered sugar, if desired. Return everything to the oven for about 5 minutes. The peach kisses are ready when the meringue is lightly golden brown.
