Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 700 g gooseberries, cleaned and halved
- 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
- 300 g pear(s), peeled, pitted and finely diced
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Finely puree half of the gooseberries, then cook everything in a large pot according to the package instructions and pour into clean screw-top jars. Seal tightly and let cool upright. The pears balance the acidity of the gooseberries and are significantly cheaper than the standard gooseberry jam partner, kiwi.
