Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pkt. Puff pastry, fresh
  • 5 pear(s), diced
  • 8 tbsp sugar
  • 50 g margarine
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pkt. pudding powder, vanilla
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Prepare the pudding mix according to the package instructions, using water instead of milk. Add the vanilla sugar and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Let cool. Heat the margarine, add 5 tablespoons of sugar, and let it caramelize slightly. Add the diced pears to the caramel mixture and simmer until the pear juice has reduced. Let cool. Roll out the puff pastry, spread with the pudding and pear-caramel mixture. Roll it up and seal the ends tightly. Place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes until golden brown. I placed a container of water on the bottom of the oven, which helped the strudel rise nicely.
