Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 180 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 150 g nuts, pecan nuts (half kernels)
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). For the batter, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar for 3-4 minutes until frothy, then stir in the buttermilk. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir briefly. Pour the batter onto a greased and floured baking sheet (adjustable 32x36cm) and smooth it out. For the topping, finely chop the pecans. Melt the butter, add the sugar, pecans, and cinnamon, and mix everything thoroughly. Spread the mixture over the batter and bake for about 20-25 minutes. It also tastes delicious served lukewarm!
