Peel Pomelo – That’s How it Works

If you have bought a pomelo for the first time, peeling it is an unexpectedly difficult task. We will show you how to disassemble the pomelo into its individual parts in just a few simple steps.

Instructions: Peel the pomelo properly

  1. Take a small knife and make two long cuts across the pomelo. The two cuts should form a cross.
  2. Depending on the size of the pomelo, you have to cut different depths. Even with small pomelos, the skin is at least 2 cm thick.
  3. Once you have made the cross-cut about 2 cm deep, you can slide your finger between the four quarters at the top and push the peel to the side.
  4. With a little force, the shell can now be easily removed. Once the skin is removed, only the flesh remains.
  5. You can simply break open the pulp if it doesn’t happen by itself.
  6. The individual chambers can also be cut open with a knife so that you can expose the pulp with your fingers.
