Penne Meets Tomatoes and Basil
The perfect penne meets tomatoes and basil recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Pasta
- 4 medium sized Tomatoes
- 1 Onion
- 1 Basil
- 1 Herbs of Provence
- 1 Curry
- 2 Pinches Sugar
- 2 Pinches Cream -50%
- 1 pinch Chili powder
- 1 pinch Garlic (fresh or powder)
- Salt and pepper (mill)
- Grana Padano grated
- While the pasta water is boiling: chop the tomatoes, onion and garlic.
- Sweat the onion pieces in butter (or oil) until they are translucent. Add the tomato pieces. Then add the spices and grated cheese.
- Then add some of the pasta water to the sauce and some cream. Let simmer for a while.
- Finally, add the finely plucked basil. Put a few leaves on the finished plate and rub some cheese over it.
