  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 100 g diced ham
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), peeled and diced
  • 500 ml tomato(s), pureed
  • 1 medium-sized pepper, finely chopped

  • garlic powder
  • ½ ball of mozzarella
  • some basil, finely chopped
  • 250g penne rigatoni

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

While the salted water is heating for the pasta, heat the oil in a pan. Then fry the ham cubes and sauté the onions. Then add the passata and bring to a boil briefly. Add the peppers and season with pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Be careful with the amount; season more if needed! Add the penne rigatoni to the boiling salted water and cook for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, continue to simmer the sauce over low heat and melt the mozzarella in it. Finally, add the basil to taste and stir to combine. Drain the pasta and toss it with the sauce.
