Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 720 g chicken breast (frozen)
- 100 g chili pepper(s) (Peppadew with juice, important!)
- 1 liter chicken stock or meat broth
- 1 liter of cream (cooking cream or sweet cream)
- 200 g broccoli, cut into florets
- possibly salt or fondor
- some sugar
- possibly cornstarch to thicken
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Shred the chicken breast into small pieces and fry in a pan. Deglaze the pan with stock and transfer to a saucepan. Chop the pepperdew berries and add them to the meat along with the remaining stock, broccoli, and cream. Season with salt or Fondor if desired, and sugar if the acidity of the pepperdew juice isn’t too excessive. Thicken slightly with starch. The juice of this amazing fruit is very important to the flavor of this “party soup.”
