Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 Camemberts
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion(s), white
- 1 onion(s), red
- 1 tsp peppercorns, colored
- 2 tsp herbs de Provence
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 chili
- 1 sprig(s) rosemary, fresh
- 1 tsp paprika powder, sweet
- 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
- Rapeseed oil or sunflower oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 21 days; Total time approx. 21 days 30 minutes
Slice the Camembert horizontally and sprinkle with sweet and hot paprika powder. Peel the garlic cloves, press them through a garlic press, and scatter them over the cheese halves. Lightly salt the cheese halves and fold them back together. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Place the cheese and the remaining ingredients in a sealable jar and fill it with oil to the brim. Let it stand for at least 2 weeks, preferably 3 weeks. Serve with bread and a cold beer.
