Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 jars of rice
  • 1 jar pasta (vermicelles, pasta da minestra)
  • 8 glasses of water
  • vegetable oil
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Turkish style rice for simple home cooking

Wash the rice in a fine sieve and drain. Add plenty of vegetable oil to the pan, creating a layer of oil. Add the noodles and fry until golden brown. Add the rice and stir. Rinse with cold water and add salt. Simmer until boiling, then turn off the heat, cover, and let it swell. Tip: You can also add curry, chicken broth, or beef broth to the water, depending on what you want to serve the rice with.
