Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 flatbread(s) or wheat bread (500 g each)
  • 500 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • 125 g diced ham with bacon, or smoked ham
  • 2 artichoke(s) , from the can
  • 6 Jalapeño rings
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) top and bottom heat. Cut the round flatbread in half. Cut a pocket into each of the two half-moon-shaped sides. Fill each pocket with an artichoke, three jalapeño rings, and the ham and bacon cubes. Distribute the grated mozzarella evenly among the pockets. Wrap both filled half-moon pockets in aluminum foil and heat in the oven for 20 minutes. Then remove the aluminum foil and bake in the oven for another 5 minutes until crispy. Depending on the flatbread dough, type, and size, these pizza flatbreads taste a bit like pizza burgers.
