Plum and onion chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s)
  • 3 onions, red
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • butter
  • 1 liter vinegar (honey vinegar)
  • 250 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds, yellow
  • 1 tsp clove powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cardamom, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Slice the onions, finely dice the garlic, and pit and halve the plums. Sauté the onions and garlic in butter, then add the plums, honey vinegar, cane sugar, and spices. Let the chutney simmer for about 60 minutes. While still hot, pour into jars and seal tightly.
