Plum – Apple – Cinnamon Jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 kg plums or prunes, pitted
  • 1 kg apples (Cox-Orange or Boskoop), peeled and pitted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 pkt. gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours

Roughly chop the prepared, weighed fruit and place it in a large pot along with the gelling sugar and cinnamon. Let it steep for 2-3 hours. Then, using a hand blender, puree everything to your liking. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Pour the mixture into jars while still hot, seal the jars, and leave the lids on for 5 minutes. I then cover the jars with tea towels to keep out drafts (a tip from my grandma).
