Plum dumplings quick

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 9 plums or prunes
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 6 tsp cinnamon sugar
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • some milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Our own creation, similar to apple turnovers.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut each into 6 square pieces. Wash, pit, and quarter the plums. It’s better to use a little more plums as they are smaller. Place 3 plum quarters on one half of each puff pastry square. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and cut or pierce the other half (to allow steam to escape). Separate the egg, brush the edges of the puff pastry with egg white, and fold into a triangle. Press the edges together firmly with a fork. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Whisk the egg yolk with a little milk. Brush the puff pastries with this mixture. Bake at 180°C (fan oven) for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven, let cool on a wire rack, and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. This also goes well with whipped cream or vanilla sauce.
