Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 3 kg plum(s)
- 300 g sugar
- 1 tsp, heaped cinnamon
- 6 cloves, finely ground
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 30 minutes
Pit the plums and place them in a roasting pan. Mix the sugar with the cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and cloves and sprinkle over the plums. Stir well and let stand for at least 2 hours. Place the plums in the oven at 180°C for about 3 hours. Open the oven a crack as soon as the mixture is boiling. Thicken the plums as desired. Then fill the prepared jars with the plums and seal tightly (heat the jars with boiling water shortly before filling). Tip: If you like, you can spice up the plum jam a bit with rum.
