Plum jam with elderberries

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 kg plum(s) (prunes), pitted, washed
  • 3 kg elderberries
  • 2 pts. gelling sugar (1:3)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash, pit, and quarter the plums. Remove the elderberries from the vines. Wash everything and place it in a saucepan. Add the gelling sugar and stir vigorously. When everything is a bit mushy, puree, bring to a slow boil, and pour into jars while still warm. Tip: Briefly rinse the jars with a little rum and dip the lids briefly in rum (sterilizes and adds a great flavor).
