Plum rusk casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g rusks
  • 750 ml milk
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 500 g plums, approximate amount
  • Cinnamon – sugar for sprinkling
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Grease a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Place the rusks in the baking dish and pour over 1/4 liter of milk. Mix 2-3 tablespoons of milk with the custard powder. Bring the remaining milk and sugar to a boil, stir in the custard powder, bring to a boil briefly, and pour the custard over the rusks. Wash, quarter, and pit the plums; arrange them on the custard and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake the casserole on the middle rack at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes. The casserole also tastes good with pears, apples, and berries. If desired, you can also sprinkle it with chopped almonds.
