Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pieces of beef (beef schnitzel)
- 30 g flour
- 3 onions
- Salt
- pepper
- Oil (sunflower oil) + a touch of butter
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions

Pound the schnitzels, season with salt and pepper, and dust with flour shortly before frying. Brown the meat on both sides in hot fat (butter with sunflower oil). Slice the onions and braise them. Deglaze with water, add the bay leaf, and simmer gently for at least two hours. Continue adding the evaporated water. Use the remaining flour to thicken the sauce (to taste). Season with salt and pepper. Serve with potato dumplings or boiled potatoes.
