Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 800 g potatoes
- 3 eggs
- 6 tbsp mountain cheese, grated
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 ½ dl cream
- Salt
- pepper
- nutmeg

Potatoes with egg from 1755 in honor of the potato king Frederick the Great
Wash and boil the potatoes, peel and grate the hot potatoes. Heat the butter in the cream and mix it into the potato mixture along with the cheese and egg yolk. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Bake in a well-buttered casserole dish at 200°C for 30 minutes.
