Ingredients
 

  • 8 slices Yeast bread --- brioche
  • 8 slices Pears
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 50 g Walnuts
  • 80 g Cranberries
  • 80 g Powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • The bread slices at 200c. toast in the oven.
  • Peel the pears and cut into wedges. Heat the butter in a pan, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar, sauté the pears briefly and deglaze with the lemon juice - leave to cool.
  • Whisk the custard powder, milk, eggs, remaining sugar and salt well.
  • Cut the bread slices in half in the egg milk and layer them alternately with the pears in a baking dish.
  • Scatter the cranberries and the chopped walnuts on top, pour the rest of the egg milk over them
  • Now off to the 200c. warm oven for 20-25 minutes --- take out, let rest a little and dust with powdered sugar.
  • If you want, you can also enjoy a vanilla sauce - Bon appetit
