Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) of toast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 shots of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some breadcrumbs
  • possibly Nutella or jam or similar for spreading
  • some margarine for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Crack the egg into a deep plate and, just like scrambled eggs, add a splash of milk and a pinch of salt. Then beat the egg. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs on another plate, making sure the bottom is well covered. Now dip the bread, alternating between both sides, in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Repeat this process until the egg is absorbed as well. Then move the bread from the breadcrumbs to the pan and fry. Let it turn golden brown, if you like. You can then spread the bread with your preferred spread or eat it as it is. Tip: If you have any egg and breadcrumbs left over, you can put them on the bread in the pan.
