Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 3 eggs
- 150 ml milk
- 100 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 500 g toast bread
- some butter for frying
- possibly powdered sugar for dusting
- possibly raisins for garnishing
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Beat the eggs with the milk in a bowl. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt and stir to combine. Briefly coat each slice of toast in the egg mixture. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the soaked slices over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Drain the French toast briefly on kitchen paper. Serve dusted with powdered sugar and/or raisins, if desired.
