Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 150 g cane sugar, or sugar
  • 250 g poppy seed cake

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 185°C. Grease muffin tins if necessary. Melt and warm the butter. Sift the flour with the baking powder. Combine the eggs, sour cream, and brown sugar. Add the melted butter. Add the flour mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour 1 tablespoon of batter into each muffin tin. Top with 1 teaspoon of poppy seed mixture and spread the remaining batter over the batter. Bake the muffins for about 20 minutes.
