Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 shot of rum
  • 3 cup(s) poppy seeds
  • 4 eggs
  • some cinnamon
  • Butter, for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Ingeniously simple & quick traditional recipe from Austria (without scales)

Mix all ingredients for about 5 minutes. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 40-45 minutes. Turn out immediately. The cake can be garnished with chocolate icing or powdered sugar, if desired.
