Pork with bananas

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg pork schnitzel
  • 2 bananas, ripe
  • 500 ml sweet cream
  • 3 tsp crème fraîche
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • n. B. Thyme
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 250 g Gouda, grated
  • Fat for frying and for the dish

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Cut the meat into finger-thick slices, season with pepper and salt, and fry until golden brown. Then place in a greased baking dish. Slice the bananas, arrange them on top, and sprinkle with some thyme. Whisk together the cream, crème fraîche, and tomato paste, season with curry, and pour over the bananas and meat. Let stand for about 30-60 minutes. Sprinkle the cheese over the meat and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 35 minutes. Serve with rice or baguette and a green salad.
