Porridge the way we love it!

Combine the oats, salt, cinnamon, sunflower seeds, raisins, vanilla sugar, brown sugar, and hazelnuts in a saucepan. Peel and quarter the apple, remove the core, and coarsely grate it. Add it to the pan with the other ingredients. Pour in the water and milk. Bring everything to a boil while stirring, then remove from the heat. Roughly chop the walnut halves and fold them into the porridge, letting them swell for about 4 minutes. We like to drizzle some maple syrup or brown sugar over the finished porridge!
