Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 2 kg potatoes
- 3 onions
- 500 g meat sausage
- 3 garlic cloves
- Oil, for baking
- salt and pepper

Peel the potatoes and coarsely grate them. Then, ideally, chop them finely in a food processor until they form a puree. If you add the finely chopped onions at the same time, the potatoes won’t brown. Crush the garlic and add it, seasoning the mixture with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, heat a deep casserole dish with plenty of fat. Finely chop the sausage. Pour the potato mixture into the hot dish and stir in the sausage. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 180°C. The edges must be browned before the pot pie can be served. Endive salad with a vinegar and oil dressing goes perfectly with it.
