Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • ½ cup crème fraîche
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Nutmeg, grated
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Parmesan, grated
  • Butter, in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Arrange them in layers in a baking dish, sprinkling each layer with a little salt, pepper, grated nutmeg, and grated Parmesan cheese. Each layer also gets 2-3 knobs of butter. Separately, whisk 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup crème fraîche, and 1 egg well. Pour over the casserole, then cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 35 minutes. If you want a dark golden color on top, remove the aluminum foil after 35 minutes and increase the heat to 230°C or higher, until the top layer reaches the desired color.
