Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 500 ml milk
  • 150 g bacon, streaky
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 3 stalks curly parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Swedish potato dish

Peel and coarsely grate the potatoes. Place them in a cloth and squeeze out the juice. Grease a frying pan with margarine, add the potatoes, pour over the milk, and season with salt and pepper. Cut the bacon into bite-sized slices and place them on top of the potatoes. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 40 minutes. Garnish with parsley. Serve with cranberries or applesauce.
