Puff pastry nut sticks

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 pts. puff pastry
  • 40 g butter
  • 200 g nuts
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C. Melt butter. Beat egg with sugar and vanilla sugar and add to the butter along with the nuts. Mix everything well. Unroll a puff pastry roll, spread the mixture on it, and place the second roll on top. Cut into strips and twist each strip slightly (it will look like a screw thread). Bake for about 20 minutes (depending on your oven) until golden brown. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
