Pumpkin strudel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 plate/s of dough (Yufka or strudel dough sheet), approx. 80 x80 cm
  • 50 g butter, melted
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 500 g pumpkin flesh, coarsely sliced
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • e.g. powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Spread the yufka sheet on a baking cloth of the appropriate size and brush with half of the melted butter. Spread the coarsely shaved pumpkin in the center of the dough, measuring approximately 30 x 30 cm. Sprinkle with sour cream, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Fold in the sides and brush with butter again. Now, using the cloth, tightly roll the dough up, brushing with butter occasionally. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with butter again. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C (preheated). After baking, the strudel can be dusted with powdered sugar again, if desired.
