Pure Tomato Sauce

The perfect pure tomato sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 kg Sun ripened tomatoes or vine tomatoes
  • 1 big Onions
  • 2 medium-sized Carrots
  • Basil
  • 3 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 teaspoon Sugar
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  1. Wash tomatoes and cut in half
  2. Cut the onions and carrots into medium-sized pieces
  3. Put everything in a large saucepan with a little olive oil, basil, salt and sugar and let it cook slowly
  4. When the tomato water is almost overcooked, remove it from the stove
  5. Turn everything through a commercially available machine
  6. You can also preserve the tomato sauce in portions – either hot in a clean and dry bottle or frozen
  7. Have fun but I have one request for you PLEASE PLEASE do not put oregano or thyme in Thank you 😉
