Pure Tomato Sauce
The perfect pure tomato sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 kg Sun ripened tomatoes or vine tomatoes
- 1 big Onions
- 2 medium-sized Carrots
- Basil
- 3 teaspoon Salt
- 3 teaspoon Sugar
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Wash tomatoes and cut in half
- Cut the onions and carrots into medium-sized pieces
- Put everything in a large saucepan with a little olive oil, basil, salt and sugar and let it cook slowly
- When the tomato water is almost overcooked, remove it from the stove
- Turn everything through a commercially available machine
- You can also preserve the tomato sauce in portions – either hot in a clean and dry bottle or frozen
