Quark dumplings without potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark, 40%
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp semolina (soft wheat semolina)
  • 140 g wheat flour, type 405
  • 50 g raisins, more or less as desired
  • Sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

super easy, quick and delicious!

Mix the quark, eggs, sugar, salt, and lemon until smooth. Then add the sifted flour and semolina. Finally, fold in the raisins, if desired. Let the mixture swell for about 10 minutes. Heat a little sunflower oil in a pan. Scoop the dough with a tablespoon and level it off with another, as the dough isn’t moldable. Flatten slightly and let the quark dumplings turn golden brown on both sides. Enjoy with applesauce, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or whatever you like!
